The role

The UNDP is seeking a Human Rights Specialist for territorial transformation and peacebuilding in Colombia. The role involves providing technical assistance to civil society organizations (CSOs) on drug policy, human rights, and reconciliation. The specialist will work with the other parties and the UNDP team to implement strategies that promote transition to lawful economies and protect social leadership.

What you'll do

  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations to CSOs on human rights, drug policy, and reconciliation.
  • Participate in inter-institutional spaces to contribute analysis for transitioning to lawful economies.
  • Support the evaluation of initiatives presented by CSOs in the Project Bank.
  • Develop and implement a capacity-building plan for civil society organizations.
  • Conduct initial diagnosis and characterization of selected CSOs.
  • Facilitate dialogue, participation, and coordination with communities and stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in drug policy, human rights, and differential approaches.
  • Ability to formulate and structure technical documents in drug policy.
  • Ability to facilitate community participation processes with a human rights focus.
  • Experience in accompanying community processes and strengthening organizational capacities.
  • Strong skills in reporting, analysis, and strategic recommendations.
