The role
The Project Manager will lead the day-to-day management and delivery of the Economic Empowerment Project in Hama Governorate, ensuring all activities are implemented on time and within budget.
What you'll do
- Lead the full project cycle and ensure implementation is aligned with the approved concept note, budget, logframe, workplan, BoQs, donor requirements, and Bonyan policies.
- Prepare, maintain, and regularly update detailed project workplans, implementation schedules, procurement plans, stakeholder engagement plans, risk registers, communication plans, cash-flow forecasts, and activity trackers.
- Supervise and support project staff and field teams, conduct regular implementation reviews, and ensure clear delegation, accountability, and timely resolution of operational challenges.
- Coordinate closely with the donor and with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure beneficiaries are matched with suitable provided livelihood assistances based on verified skills, business potential, operating conditions, access to inputs/markets, and capacity to use and maintain the productive assets.
- Prepare and follow up procurement requests and procurement documentation in line with the approved procurement plan; coordinate with Supply Chain/Logistics to ensure timely delivery, quality control, warranties, after-sales considerations, and value for money.
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, Development Studies, Engineering, or another relevant field. A master's degree is an asset.
- Recognized project-management certification is required, such as Project DPro/PMD Pro or PMP. Holding additional relevant project-management or agile certifications is an advantage.
- Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible experience in project management within humanitarian, early recovery, livelihoods, economic recovery, or development programming, including at least 2 years in a project-management/lead role.
- Demonstrated experience managing donor-funded projects, including work planning, budgeting, procurement coordination, compliance, risk management, reporting, and cross-functional team management.
- Solid practical experience in livelihoods, MSME, entrepreneurship, productive-asset, business-development, or economic-empowerment programming.
- Proven experience designing, facilitating, or co-facilitating training/coaching on business management, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, costing and pricing, basic bookkeeping, marketing, business planning, or related topics.
