The role
The incumbent will develop and implement business entrepreneurship support activities, design and deliver entrepreneurship training, and support entrepreneurs and small businesses in the FO Syria region.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement business entrepreneurship support activities
- Develop and update entrepreneurship training materials and curricula
- Identify, mobilize, and register eligible beneficiaries
- Conduct market assessments and business opportunity assessments
- Deliver entrepreneurship training
- Provide individual and group coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance
What it takes
- A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, Finance, Entrepreneurship or a related field
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional experience in business development, entrepreneurship support, feasibility studies, educational or TVET projects, business training programs, community-based development projects, SME development, microfinance, or other related fields
- Experience as a trainer and/or facilitator, including the ability to adapt training content to beneficiaries' profiles, capacities, and labor market needs
- Experience in providing coaching, mentoring, and advisory services to start-ups and emerging entrepreneurs
- Good knowledge of the Syrian business environment, local labor market, entrepreneurship ecosystem, and financial service providers
- Fluency in English and Arabic, UN Level III in both languages
