The role
The ILO is seeking an Enterprise Adviser to conduct independent enterprise assessments and provide consultancy services to improve working conditions and labor standards in the RMG industry in Bangladesh.
What you'll do
- Independently conduct enterprise assessments of labor standards and management systems
- Produce high-standard reports on assessment findings, recommendations, and progress reports
- Provide enterprise-level advisory services to improve factory performance
- Select and adapt Better Work products for use at the individual enterprise level
- Contribute to the project’s monitoring and evaluation strategy and knowledge management
- Work closely with national constituents to support the implementation of services in the industry
What it takes
- University degree in international development, law, occupational health and safety, industrial engineering, industrial relations, gender studies, human resource management, adult education or other relevant fields
- At least two years of professional experience in social dialogue, capacity building in the private sector, corporate social responsibility, occupational health and safety, behavioral change, industrial engineering, industrial relations or other relevant fields
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bengali
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise-level assessment of labor standards, working conditions and management systems
- Proven ability to provide enterprise-level advisory services, coaching and technical guidance
- Proven experience and knowledge of Bangladeshi labor-related laws and regulations
