The role
Code for America is seeking an Emerging Technology & AI Governance & Enablement Lead to shape the responsible adoption of AI across the organization. This role bridges the gap between IT, security, and operations by authoring AI usage policies and creating training resources for staff. The lead will work to ensure AI tools are used safely and effectively, while providing internal consulting and change management support. This position is a foundational hire that will report to the VP of Engineering.
What you'll do
- Own the full lifecycle of the AI Acceptable Use Policy.
- Advise on employee-facing implications of AI deployment.
- Design and launch AI enablement resources and staff training.
- Partner with Security Engineering to ensure AI governance alignment.
- Lead change management initiatives for AI-related transitions.
