The role
The Emergency Information Management and Reporting Officer will support the Emergency Manager and broader Emergency Team in managing humanitarian information, maintaining reporting systems, developing analytical products, and ensuring the timely production of high-quality emergency reports and operational updates.
What you'll do
- Support the development and implementation of emergency information management systems and tools for response monitoring and operational decision-making
- Maintain and update emergency databases, tracking systems, and information repositories
- Conduct data cleaning, validation, triangulation, and quality assurance processes
- Develop and update dashboards, maps, infographics to support emergency management
- Support the preparation of humanitarian updates, briefing notes, talking points, and management summaries
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in information management, humanitarian reporting, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or related fields
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in information management, humanitarian reporting, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, emergency coordination support, programme monitoring or related fields
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced), Power BI, Tableau, Kobo Toolbox, GIS applications, SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, SQL or other data management tools is desirable
