The role
Support emergency preparedness, response and recovery efforts in Viet Nam under the direct supervision of Programme Specialists for Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency.
What you'll do
- Support the EMT and programme sections by collecting, verifying and sharing field-level information on disaster, climate and emergency risks.
- Contribute to child-centred rapid needs assessments and estimating affected populations, urgent household needs, service disruptions, WASH and health risks.
- Support coordination with provincial and commune authorities, implementing partners and relevant local stakeholders.
- Monitor the field implementation of UNICEF-supported emergency response activities and prepare concise field assessment notes.

- Bachelor's degree
- At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in emergency preparedness or disaster risk reduction.
- Good analytical skills, including the ability to collect, organise and summarise quantitative and qualitative information for risk analysis, needs assessment, impact assessment, reporting, and decision-making.
