The role

The Education Program Coordinator works as part of the Ontario Turtle Conservation team, and is responsible for development, implementation, and delivery of the Centre’s Education Program.

What you'll do

  • Develop, implement, and deliver the Centre’s Education Program
  • Grow existing programs to make full use of OTCC facilities
  • Seek opportunities to better engage with education programming outside of the centre
  • Inform the public about turtle conservation and inspire them to take action

  • Post secondary diploma or degree in relevant field
  • Additional training in education/interpretation and knowledge of Ontario Curriculum
  • Detailed knowledge of turtle biology, conservation, and OTCC's work
  • Experience in delivering public education, public speaking, and program development
  • Experience in staff supervision and mentoring
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including safely handling turtles
