The role

The Education & Literacy Programs Volunteer Coordinator oversees and coordinates various volunteer programs at World Relief Western Washington, providing training, support, and resources to volunteers in ESL, Financial Literacy, Detention Center Post-Release program, and Children & Family programs.

What you'll do

  • Regularly communicate with ESL and Children & Family program staff to learn their volunteer and community engagement needs
  • Provide volunteer appreciation, recognition, and ongoing training opportunities
  • Plan and facilitate meetings and quarterly training for volunteers
  • Support volunteers in building long-term, mutually transformative relationships in their roles
  • Work closely with Outreach Manager and other WRWW staff to pivot and adapt volunteer roles as needs change
  • Maintain up-to-date records of volunteer information, hours, and activities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
