The role

The American Red Cross is seeking a Donor & Client Support Coordinator II for their Charlotte, NC office. This role involves coordinating daily operations and managing product investigations.

What you'll do

  • Assist in coordinating daily operations including biologic product deviation notifications and addressing concerns
  • Support the timely management of product level investigation under ARC inventory
  • Coordinate identification, control, notification, and retrieval of suspect products
  • Identify suspect products by reviewing donor deferral records
  • Perform retrieval activities related to product complaints including bacterial detection cases
  • May correct, update and verify changes in donor records

What it takes

  • High School or equivalent required. Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a science or health care field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in blood banking/collections, laboratory testing, medical records, auditing, quality review or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Reading, writing and verbal communication at the high school to college level
  • Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with Microsoft Office applications in a Windows environment
