The role
The Disability Inclusion National Support Officer will support the implementation of UNRWA's Disability Policy and disability-inclusive programming in Amman, Jordan.
What you'll do
- Support implementation of UNRWA's Disability Policy and Disability Inclusion Guidelines
- Assist in reviewing, developing and updating technical guidance
- Provide technical inputs to programme design, policy documents, concept notes, and project proposals
- Support the coordination of disability inclusion activities across Headquarters departments and Field Offices
What it takes
- Advanced university degree in Disability Studies, International Development, Human Rights, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Rehabilitation, Education, Public Health or another relevant field
- Six years of progressively responsible professional experience in humanitarian action, international development, protection and disability inclusion
- Experience working with UN agencies, international organizations, or NGOs is highly desirable
