The role

The Director, US Accounting & Operations at International Justice Mission (IJM) will oversee US accounting and operations to support the organization's mission of protecting vulnerable people from violence.

What you'll do

  • Direct a team of accountants and payroll staff
  • Lead month-end and year-end close and reporting for the US Accounting and Operations
  • Oversee US statutory and tax filings
  • Serve as a key point of contact for financial information flow between US operations and Global Finance
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data included in IJM’s internal and external reports

What it takes

  • Licensed CPA or advanced degree in accounting preferred but not required
  • At least 8-10 years of experience as an accounting or audit manager
  • Superior knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, International Financial Reporting Standards and IRS regulations for 501(c)(3) organizations
  • Experience with electronic financial and accounting systems
