The role
The Director of Programs at World Relief in Haiti is responsible for strategic leadership, program development, and external networking to support humanitarian and development initiatives.
What you'll do
- Lead in various needs assessment and propose WR Haiti’s sectoral engagement in the country
- Oversee the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of country office programs and projects
- Ensure proper monitoring and evaluation systems are in place
- Support field offices in finance, administrative, human resource, and logistics management
- Travel to the field to supervise and review project/program progress
- Support WR-Haiti legal compliance issues, including facilitation of visas for visitors
What it takes
- Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a relevant field
- At least 7 years’ experience at the level of a program manager with responsibility for multi-sector integrated relief and development program with an international NGO
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English
- Demonstrated results in obtaining and maintaining high-level donor funding
- Excellent organization, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel for up to 40% of the time
