The role

Childswork Learning Center is seeking a Director of People, Culture and Equity to establish their first dedicated human resources department. This leadership role will build internal infrastructure, manage the full employee lifecycle, and serve as a key partner in embedding equity and inclusion across all campus operations. The successful candidate will lead policy development, employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration while coaching managers and fostering a supportive, inclusive workplace culture.

What you'll do

  • Build and establish the organization's HR infrastructure, systems, and policies from the ground up.
  • Serve as the primary lead for employee relations, workplace grievances, and performance management.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle and design onboarding/training programs across all campuses.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout all organizational practices.
  • Oversee payroll coordination and benefits administration in compliance with Oregon labor laws.

What it takes

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Education Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including generalist tasks and employee relations.
