The role
The Director Disaster Finance Response will lead the Domestic Disaster Finance Response Team and oversee the financial infrastructure supporting domestic disaster relief operations, including purchasing processes, financial controls, financial planning, and reporting.
What you'll do
- Review financial data analysis related to operations, business performance, opportunities, investments, etc.
- Direct financial analysis projects, forecasting, and statistical studies.
- Ensure that all reports and disclosures comply with applicable governmental regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
- Direct employees engaged in the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements.
- Support domestic disaster with agile and quick purchasing and financial tools/systems while ensuring strong financial controls.
- Lead team in applying newer technologies for continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- 5 years of management experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in planning and overseeing analytical programs and tactical activities
- Ability to determine client and customer requirements and translate requirements into organizational plans
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
