The role

The Director, Accounting, Statutory Reporting at International Justice Mission (IJM) will lead the global accounting and external financial reporting function, ensuring the integrity and transparency of financial reporting and overseeing the annual financial statement audit.

What you'll do

  • Provide strategic leadership for IJM's global accounting and external financial reporting function
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and presentation of IJM's consolidated financial statements
  • Lead the annual consolidated financial statement audit
  • Direct the preparation and review of IRS Form 990 filings
  • Ensure year-round audit readiness through effective controls, reconciliations, reporting schedules, and review processes

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA required or strongly preferred
  • Minimum eight (8) years of progressively responsible accounting, audit, global consolidation reporting, statutory reporting, or financial reporting experience
  • Experience leading annual financial statement audits and regulatory reporting activities
  • Demonstrated experience researching and applying US GAAP accounting guidance
  • Experience with nonprofit financial reporting preferred
