The role
The Digital Health Consultant will support the national scale-up of HEP Assist AI, an innovative clinical decision-support tool, within the Ministry of Health in Ethiopia. This role involves technical product design, system architecture support, and software implementation, as well as strategic alignment and partner management.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy scalable software builds for digital health tools
- Ensure compliance and interoperability of digital health tools with national standards
- Develop and maintain data pipelines between LMH tools and national health platforms
- Translate field-level requirements into functional specifications for software engineering teams
- Provide technical training and support to health workers and system leaders
- Represent LMH at the MOH and drive joint digital health priorities
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience with digital health systems and full software development lifecycle
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, APIs, and digital health platforms
- Experience applying user-centered design principles
- Experience working with open-source software and customizing digital platforms
- Experience supporting software development, including full-stack development, debugging, testing, and version control tools such as Git
