The role
Busara Center for Behavioral Economics is seeking a Digital Economy Thematic Expert to support the Mastercard Foundation’s Young Africa Works Strategy in Kenya. The role involves conducting assessments and reviews to understand the impact of digital trends on youth employment and the digital economy.
What you'll do
- Conduct a literature review of Kenya’s digital economy ecosystem
- Provide technical input to assessments and reviews relating to Digital Economy indicators
- Map current trends in Kenya’s digital economy relevant to youth employment
- Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and consultations with relevant stakeholders
- Assess the extent to which current programs prepare young women and men for digital employment
- Produce a report with findings, recommendations, and a prioritization framework
What it takes
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in digital economy strategy
- Proven track record and consulting experience conducting strategic reviews
- Strong understanding of Kenya’s digital economy landscape
- Excellent analytical, writing, and facilitation/stakeholder engagement skills
