The role
The Development Officer is responsible for building and sustaining relationships with patients, families, and community members to support fundraising efforts at New London Hospital and Newport Health Center.
What you'll do
- Manage a portfolio of 100-150 prospects and donors
- Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors
- Develop and implement a Philanthropy Champions program
- Partners with Dartmouth Health fundraising staff
- Develop and lead strategic programs and initiatives
- Monitor, evaluate, and refine the Philanthropy Champions Program
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive fundraising experience
- Experience in capital campaign support
- Experience at the major gift level
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in donor-centric fundraising strategies
