The role
IDB Invest is seeking a Development Impact Director - Real Sector Operations to oversee the application of development effectiveness standards across the full lifecycle of real sector operations, ensuring relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, evaluability, and sustainability.
What you'll do
- Oversee the application of development effectiveness standards across the full lifecycle of real sector operations
- Support upstream work to identify and facilitate operations aligned with country and institutional priorities
- Participate in the structuring of operations to compute impact ratings and ensure a clear theory of change and robust development metrics
- Coordinate closely with Delivery Unit Heads, Portfolio Management Directors, Industry Heads, and Regional Lead Officers
- Advise project teams on the design, monitoring, and evaluation of complex and first-of-a-kind operations
- Collaborate with the Director of Development Impact Intelligence to ensure the development of Impact Models
What it takes
- Master’s degree in economics, business administration, finance, public policy, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in impact management and development effectiveness of real sector operations
- Extensive, hands-on understanding of IDB Invest operations
- Advanced experience in monitoring and evaluating the impact performance of operations
- Advanced expertise in IDB Invest’s Corporate and Infrastructure segments
- Advanced project management skills
