The role
The Development Director will oversee fundraising efforts, including donor relations, special events, and grant writing, to support the mission of the International Rescue Committee in the Sacramento/Turlock region.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan
- Cultivate national partnerships from companies and foundations
- Support local high-value donor qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
- Oversee the preparation of letters of inquiry, proposals, budgets, and reports
- Organize annual fundraisers and other special events
- Serve as a focal point and liaison for Sacramento-Turlock to HQ fundraising teams
What it takes
- University degree (BA/BS) required; graduate degree preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years prior experience with leading fundraising, communications, public relations, and other development duties
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Experience with Salesforce
