The Gates Foundation is seeking a Deputy Director, TB Delivery to support the development and implementation of the foundation’s HIV & TB Delivery portfolio, focusing on innovations in designing and implementing strategies to reduce TB incidence and mortality.
What you'll do
- Be accountable for innovations in designing and implementing strategies to assist focus countries to reduce TB incidence and mortality
- Work with members of the TB delivery team and assist them to plan and execute their strategies with fidelity
- Work with the team to plan and implement new technologies as they come on stream
- Provide strategic guidance in crafting grants and contracts that require research, modeling and analytics
- Facilitate development of annual and multiyear investment plans and budgets
- Lead partnerships with internal and external partners to advance the foundation’s priorities for TB

- Advanced degree, PhD preferably in statistics, data science or epidemiology with at least 10 years of field experience
- Experience leading and managing a delivery team
- Experience working in diverse cultural settings
- Demonstrated experience in delivery value through the utilization of quantitative and qualitative data
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in statistics, modeling, machine learning, data analysis and interpretation of data
- Excellent ability to convert analytics into visualizations and narratives
