The role
The Deputy Director, PAC, Digital Transformation and AI Policy & Advocacy will lead the policy and advocacy goals of two teams: Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Inclusive Financial Systems (IFS), while also supporting cross-cutting work on AI policy and advocacy.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute DPI, IFS, and AI policy and advocacy strategies
- Manage a team of DPI, IFS, and AI advocacy professionals
- Serve as a trusted advisor to governments on the design and implementation of DPI and AI-enabled systems
- Represent the foundation in global forums influencing the policy agenda
- Support GPA’s AI policy and financing work across divisions
- Partner with regional offices to build peer-learning platforms
What it takes
- Advanced degree preferred in public policy, business, international relations, development or a related field
- 10+ years of senior-level experience in financial inclusion, DPI, AI, or related fields
- Strong understanding of digital ID, payments, and data systems
- Demonstrated success designing and executing policy and advocacy strategies
- Deep familiarity with regulatory frameworks and risk mitigation approaches
- Experience leading cross-divisional efforts
