The role

The Deputy Director, PAC, Digital Transformation and AI Policy & Advocacy will lead the policy and advocacy goals of two teams: Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and Inclusive Financial Systems (IFS), while also supporting cross-cutting work on AI policy and advocacy.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute DPI, IFS, and AI policy and advocacy strategies
  • Manage a team of DPI, IFS, and AI advocacy professionals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to governments on the design and implementation of DPI and AI-enabled systems
  • Represent the foundation in global forums influencing the policy agenda
  • Support GPA’s AI policy and financing work across divisions
  • Partner with regional offices to build peer-learning platforms

What it takes

  • Advanced degree preferred in public policy, business, international relations, development or a related field
  • 10+ years of senior-level experience in financial inclusion, DPI, AI, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of digital ID, payments, and data systems
  • Demonstrated success designing and executing policy and advocacy strategies
  • Deep familiarity with regulatory frameworks and risk mitigation approaches
  • Experience leading cross-divisional efforts
