The role
The Deputy Director of Operations (DDO) will play a key role in the overall leadership of operations and coordination of support to programs across Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador.
What you'll do
- Supervision of Supply Chain Coordinator(s) across Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador
- Ensure compliance monitoring processes are developed and effectively implemented
- Manage Information Technology (IT) Officer(s) across the region
- Work closely with Safety and Security Coordinators to assess operating context and conditions
- Manage Field Coordinators and Managers in all three countries
What it takes
- At least five years of progressively responsible international work experience, including at least three years in a leadership role at the Deputy Director level
- Experience working on emergency operations office start-up
- Proven successful leadership and management experience with a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural setting
- Substantial experience managing security in a fluid, high-risk environment
- Fluency in Spanish and English required
- Previous experience working in the region and/or with IRC preferred
