What you'll do
- Compile, clean, and harmonize fragmented survey and administrative datasets.
- Apply the Cohort Component Method to generate national, provincial, and district-level population projections.
- Conduct advanced modeling of age-specific fertility, mortality, and migration rates.
- Perform demographic diagnostics, including age-sex accuracy assessments and sensitivity analysis.
- Produce comprehensive technical reports, population pyramids, and metadata documentation.
What it takes
- Master's degree in Demography, Statistics, Economics, Population Studies, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in demographic analysis and population modeling.
- Proficiency in demographic software including Stata, R, PAS, and Spectrum.
- Strong knowledge of UN demographic methodologies and international statistical standards.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Dari and Pashto is required.
