The role
Girl Effect is seeking freelance data collectors to gather quantitative and qualitative data from youth beneficiaries in various regions of Ethiopia for the Yegna Gize program.
What you'll do
- Administering digital or paper-based pre-training and post-training surveys
- Conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) or Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) if required
- Ensuring accurate data entry and real-time synchronization with the central database
- Verifying participant demographic consistency and capturing their responses accordingly
- Providing training on the developed data collection tools
- Monitoring collected and submitted data quality on a daily basis
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Information management, Economics or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection
- Fifty (50) data collectors are required per region who know the context from the region
- Having better understanding of the intervention location and context including local language
- Prior experience working with NGOs, research firms, or on donor-funded program evaluations
- Proven ability to maintain high data integrity, handle sensitive information and perform basic data cleaning/verification at the field level
