The role

Per Scholas is seeking a Data Center Logistics Technician Instructor to deliver instructor-led training and manage hands-on labs for learners in data center, logistics, inventory, and asset operations.

What you'll do

  • Deliver instructor-led training that prepares learners for entry-level careers in data center, logistics, inventory, and asset operations
  • Facilitate hands-on labs using the classroom Mobile Infrastructure Rack (MIR) and related equipment
  • Provide learners with access to relevant resources for outside learning on tools and study aids relevant to the curriculum
  • Work closely with the team to identify learner needs, provide the necessary support, establish individualized plans for learner achievement, and participate in regular learner-status meetings
  • Maintain and update Salesforce and/or our LMS with learner grades, assessment results, and progress notes
  • Support and maintain the training curricula, syllabi, lesson plans, and other classroom materials

What it takes

  • 1-3 years of teaching or training experience
  • Current CompTIA A+, Server+ certification or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Proficient understanding of IT support, including hardware, software, networking, user support, endpoint troubleshooting, and service desk workflows
  • Experience troubleshooting end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, operating systems, and common productivity applications
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve common IT issues, including hardware malfunctions, software problems, network connectivity issues, printer problems, mobile device issues, and user access concerns
  • Understanding of cloud service models, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, and familiarity with major platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
