The role
Karya is seeking Analysts, Associates, and Specialists to support socio-economic index development, impact estimation, and internal monitoring & data management for development projects.
What you'll do
- Support design and development of socio-economic indices using unit-level datasets
- Statistical impact assessment using statistical software such as R or Stata
- Calculate and validate appropriate sample sizes for surveys and impact assessments
- Design survey tools tailored for social and development sector projects
- Consolidate disparate datasets using Excel and other tools
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to co-develop KPIs
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields with at least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience
- Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields with at least 1 year of work experience
- Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields with 3 or more years of work experience
- Prior experience working with unit-level datasets such as NFHS, PLFS
- Previous experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, designing KPIs, impact estimation, and monitoring frameworks in development projects
- Publication in relevant academic or policy journals
