The role
The incumbent will work in close collaboration with programme, operations and project teams to support the achievement of project objectives and organizational priorities.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the development, calculation and validation of variables, indicators and other data and information products.
- Extract, process and analyse data from public databases and statistical sources.
- Contribute to the preparation and development of georeferenced information and related data products.
- Review documents and materials related to spatial data and information.
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of capacity-building activities for UN-Habitat and government staff.
- Contribute to the timely implementation and monitoring of deliverables in accordance with the established work plan.
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Sociology, Political Science, Administration, Geography, Economics, Urban Studies, Statistics or related fields
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in themes related to data analysis, reports and information for public policy, data visualization, data collection, processing and analysis
- Progressively responsible experience in urban project/programmes related themes in Brazil
- Good command of data collection platforms such as KoboToolbox or ODK
- Basic experience with platforms for sharing programming and version control such as GitHub or GitLab
- Good knowledge on project management methodologies
