The role

IDMC is seeking an experienced Data Adviser to lead its global internal displacement monitoring work, overseeing the production of high-quality data and analysis.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a monitoring strategy and annual work plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues to determine operational priorities and coordinate team workflows
  • Line manage, coach and support direct reports
  • Lead stakeholder engagement in relation to IDMC’s monitoring work
  • Support contextual and political analysis to help situate the data in relevant external publications

What it takes

  • Minimum Master’s degree in data science, statistics, international development, migration and displacement, humanitarian affairs or disaster risk and climate change
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in related fields
  • Strong managerial, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working with diverse actors in different regional contexts and levels of seniority
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
