The role
Per Scholas is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Learning Specialist to support the lead instructor in delivering high-quality learning experiences for students preparing for careers as Critical Facilities Technicians/Engineers in data center environments.
What you'll do
- Assist the lead instructor in daily instruction and assessment administration
- Teach foundational and intermediate technical concepts related to electrical systems, UPS, cooling systems, BMS, and DCIM platforms
- Facilitate hands-on lab exercises while enforcing safety practices
- Evaluate student troubleshooting performance using scenario-based diagnostics
What it takes
- 2-5+ years of working in data centers as a Critical Facility Engineer/Technician
- 1-3 years of instructional skills teaching technical subjects to technicians and operators
- Technical proficiency in electrical systems, UPS, industrial HVAC or cooling systems, building monitoring or controls systems
- Demonstrated understanding of industrial safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E)
