The role

Per Scholas is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician Instructor to join their National Training Team for a 3–6 month contract. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, instructor-led training to adult learners, covering topics such as electrical distribution, cooling systems, and backup power in data center environments. The ideal candidate will combine extensive industry experience with strong instructional leadership to prepare students for career success in mission-critical infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Deliver instructor-led training on data center electrical, mechanical, and monitoring systems.
  • Facilitate hands-on lab exercises and enforce industry-standard safety practices.
  • Monitor individual student progress, administer assessments, and maintain LMS records.
  • Collaborate with curriculum teams to update materials and provide feedback on lab effectiveness.
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and professional guidance to students.

What it takes

  • 10+ years of experience as a Critical Facility Engineer or Technician.
  • 2-5 years of experience teaching technical subjects to adult learners.
  • Technical proficiency in power distribution, UPS, HVAC, and monitoring systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
