The role
The Mental Health Association is seeking Per Diem Crisis Outreach Supervisors for their 988 Mobile Crisis Outreach Team in Essex County, operating 24/7 to respond to nonlife-threatening mental health, substance use, or suicidal crises.
What you'll do
- Oversee staff development and activities of the MCORT office
- Assist the Program Director in administrative and programmatic operations
- Provide remote backup to the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response staff
- Engage with Crisis Outreach Responders for higher level clinical services
- Provide ongoing supervision to the MCORT team
- Ensure training compliance for the MCORT
What it takes
- Master’s Degree in a mental health related field
- Professional license (LSW, LAC)
- Two years of post-master’s professional experience in a psychiatric setting
- Experience in a crisis setting
- Valid NJ driver’s license
- Effective crisis response and de-escalation
