The role
The Country Representative is responsible for leading WeWorld's country programme, representing the organization, and managing various aspects of the country office including strategic direction, partnership development, and resource mobilization.
What you'll do
- Provide overall leadership, strategic direction, and accountability for WeWorld's country programme
- Represent WeWorld with donors, government authorities, UN agencies, partners, and other key stakeholders
- Lead the development and implementation of the country strategy and ensure alignment with organizational priorities
- Drive partnership development, fundraising, and resource mobilization efforts
- Ensure the quality, relevance, impact, and compliance of all programmes and projects
- Oversee the security, safety, and operational management of the country office
What it takes
- An advanced university degree or equivalent in the field of Humanitarian Aid, Social or Political Science, Development Studies, International relations, Project Management
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience in development or emergency contexts as country representative
- Working experience with international NGOs in management of international cooperation projects funded by institutional, private donors and sponsorship programs
- Sound leadership and team management experience
- Proven experience in Project Cycle Management, including proposal development
- Experience in start-up and/or low level resources office management
