The role
The Country Financial Controller is responsible for managing the finance function of Concern Sierra Leone, including financial systems, controls, reporting, and staff management.
What you'll do
- Ensure financial management systems and records are adequate
- Lead the preparation of financial budgets and donor reports
- Provide leadership and direction for the in-country Finance Team
- Undertake financial training of budget-holders
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports
- Develop and implement work and expenditure plans
What it takes
- Accountancy Qualification (e.g. CPA, ACA, ACCA)
- 3 years post qualification experience in Concern or a similar organization
- Experience in developing staff capacity
- Experience managing large and multi donor (especially ECHO, OCHA, etc.) programme budgets
- Knowledge of development issues and concepts
- Academic background of or strong practical experience in macro-economic and/or fiscal policy
