The role
The Country Director is responsible for strategic planning, programmatic direction, and management oversight of all programs and operations of Concern Worldwide in Ethiopia. This role involves leadership, security management, program development, people management, budget and financial management, representation, and adherence to policies and procedures.

- Develop and implement a coherent country programme
- Provide leadership in the overall effective planning and direction of Concern’s programme and operations
- Build strong and committed team of national and international staff
- Ensure effective coordination of technical inputs
- Lead the strategic development and implementation of programmes
- Ensure that all programmes are implemented and completed according to programme documents
What it takes
- Advance Degree in social science or development management or business management or related discipline
- At least 5 years’ overseas experience in management and coordination of development and humanitarian programmes
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage change effectively
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous work experience in Horn of Africa generally, or Ethiopia specifically
