The role
The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific is seeking a part-time Counsellor to enhance access to counselling services and build resilience among staff and their dependents.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver briefings and training programmes
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions
- Deliver local training on psychosocial-related topics
- Collaborate with the SCO team to identify training needs
- Provide specialized expertise to ensure successful completion of specific outputs
What it takes
- Advanced university degree in clinical psychology, psychiatry, or social work
- Minimum five years' experience in providing psychological counselling and/or psychotherapy
- Experience in alcohol/substance abuse, stress management, traumatic stress, cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution
- Training, presentation, and facilitation skills for a diverse audience
- Clinical license to provide psychological counselling and/or psychotherapy
- Knowledge of another language is desirable
