The role
The Southern Poverty Law Center is seeking a Coordinator, Facilities who is passionate about Social Justice! The Coordinator, Facilities oversees building maintenance and grounds at the SPLC and Civil Rights Memorial Center (CRMC).
What you'll do
- Conduct visual inspections of the Montgomery location and CRMC building systems for proper functionality and maintains cleanliness of properties.
- Schedule and supervise contractors for facility repairs as needed.
- Assist the Facilities Senior Specialist and provides on-call support.
- Maintain records of maintenance agreements and repairs; creates and submits facility reports to supervisor.
- Track, maintain and fulfill inventory for facility maintenance, janitorial operations, PPE, kitchen supplies, etc.
- Assist with event set-up and break down.
What it takes
- Minimum of 5 years facilities management experience
- Experience in electrical, plumbing or HVAC preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Dependable and hands-on
- Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
- Customer service oriented
