Save the Children International is seeking a Coordinator for Emergency Education (EiE) to manage and coordinate emergency education interventions in Gaza Province, Mozambique. What you'll do
- Coordinate and implement EiE interventions in areas affected by sudden displacements.
- Develop preparedness plans for integrated EiE packages in coordination with the Education Cluster.
- Identify and train community volunteers, teachers, and other stakeholders to support children in crisis.
- Conduct Rapid Needs Assessments (RNA) in coordination with other sectors like CPiE, WASH, and Nutrition.
- Ensure high-quality data collection and reporting related to emergency activities.
- Collaborate closely with the emergency program team to ensure programmatic integration.
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Services, Pedagogy, Psychology, Sociology, Human Rights, or similar fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Emergency Education programs with a humanitarian organization.
- Strong skills in mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) and psychological first aid (PFA).
- Experience working with community mechanisms and other informal structures.
- Fluency in Portuguese and good command of spoken/written English.
- Ability to work in unstable or potentially unsafe environments.
