The role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Content Creator/Producer and News Anchor to research, script, produce and present regular news and analysis content for ADN TV.
What you'll do
- Produce and anchor regular short-form news and current affairs content
- Develop content formats and storytelling approaches
- Prepare and present regular news updates
- Conduct interviews with guests, analysts, officials and other contributors
- Produce and present insight and analysis programmes
- Coordinate filming, editing, graphics and post-production
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Broadcast Production, International Relations or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in broadcast journalism, news anchoring, presenting and/or content production
- A demonstrable on-camera presenting record
- Strong knowledge of political, security, economic and social developments in Somalia and the Horn of Africa
- Excellent research, scriptwriting, fact-checking and storytelling skills
- Hands-on experience with video production and editing software
