The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking a consultant to develop research commercialization and equity frameworks for FATA University and Kohat University. The role involves drafting policy papers on faculty/university equity, designing endowment fund governance, and delivering capacity-building sessions on innovation and research governance. What you'll do

  • Develop inception reports and detailed workplans for implementation at project universities.
  • Draft comprehensive policy papers on Faculty and University Equity, IP ownership, and revenue-sharing.
  • Advise on the establishment and governance of endowment funds to support incubation activities.
  • Design and deliver structured training sessions for faculty and students on innovation and commercialization.
  • Facilitate stakeholder consultations to define priority research themes and institutional agendas.

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Education, or Public Policy.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in higher education leadership, research governance, or innovation systems.
  • Strong understanding of public university systems and commercialization pathways in Pakistan.
  • Proven experience in developing policy frameworks or strategic advisory documents.
  • Fluency in English and Urdu required.
