The role
The consultant will support the assessment and development of project proposals submitted by Member States for the 2026 Call for Proposals, ensuring their alignment with UNRSF priorities, Fund eligibility criteria, and relevant road safety standards.
What you'll do
- Assessment of project summaries received from Member states for the UNRSF call for proposals 2026
- Preparation of concept notes of selected projects for the first phase of the UNRSF call for proposals 2026
- Deliver a virtual capacity-building workshop to strengthen the ability of national focal points
- Drafting a regional project proposal on road safety
- Any additional tasks requested by the hiring officer
What it takes
- Master's degree in transport, engineering, road safety or any other related field
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the field of road safety
- Demonstrated knowledge of road safety data management tools and applications
- Familiarity with the Safe System approach and international road safety standards
- Expertise in preparing funding proposals, concept notes, or strategic documents
- Previous experience working with national stakeholders, international organizations, and/or the UN system in the Arab region
