The role
The consultant will map support across the eight thematic areas of the National Plan of Action to End Violence Against Women and Children (NPA-VAWC II) in Tanzania, focusing on national and sub-national levels, and provide recommendations for future programming and resource allocation.
What you'll do
- Map ongoing and planned interventions and funding for each of the eight thematic areas of NPA-VAWC II
- Analyze the types of support provided and identify gaps, overlaps, and areas of coordination
- Develop a tool for partner mapping that can be updated regularly
- Provide practical recommendations for future programming, partnership, resource mobilization, and resource allocation decisions
What it takes
- Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Development Economics, Social Sciences, or Statistics
- Minimum five years of experience in the gender sector in Tanzania
- Proven track record in donor coordination or landscape mapping
- In-depth understanding of the functioning of national and sub-national gender equality and women’s empowerment coordination structures
- Strong data analysis and data visualization skills (GIS or PowerBI experience is a plus)
- Excellent command of English and Swahili
