The role
The consultant will provide high-level technical coordination, strategic guidance, and stakeholder engagement to ensure continuity of key Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) system-strengthening activities throughout the consultancy period.
What you'll do
- Serve as primary focal point for coordination with the Ministry of Education on ongoing ECD and SEL initiatives
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and technical discussions with the Ministry and relevant stakeholders
- Support implementation of agreed workplans and ensure timely follow-up of deliverables
- Coordinate the finalization of the Parent Participation Manual following completion of the technical revision process
- Coordinate the organization, logistics, scheduling, and overall implementation of Core Team training for approximately 65-75 Ministry of Education supervisors
- Represent IRC in donor meetings and coordination meetings related to the assigned ECD portfolio
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Early Childhood Development, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Early Childhood Development, education, or system strengthening
- Demonstrated experience working with the Ministry of Education and government stakeholders in Jordan
- Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Development and Social and Emotional Learning
- Experience coordinating donor-funded projects and multi-stakeholder initiatives
- Excellent facilitation, coordination, and communication skills
