The role
The consultant will contribute by generating statistical information on household spending in culture, employment in the cultural sector and international trade of cultural goods and services. They will also provide analytical texts that form various chapters of the research document which is the main product of the project.
What you'll do
- Process household income and expenditure survey data to generate cultural expenditure indicators (according to CCIF/COICOP 2018 or more recent common to the surveys)
- Homologate occupational classifications (CIUO 08 and CIIU rev. 4) of household surveys from around 2019 and 2024, then process the surveys to generate cultural employment indicators with another consultant
- Support data recovery and processing of COMTRADE databases (SA/HS 2022 or more recent common to countries)
- Prepare comparative tables and charts (with their respective notes and clarifications)
- Elaborate a household expenditure section report (~5 pages) and another chapter report on cultural employment with another consultant (35-45 pages)

- Completed studies in economics or other social sciences
- Experience in social policy issues or handling quantitative social information
- Fluent Spanish for report writing, and knowledge of English to review bibliographic material
