The role
Consultancy Services for the supervision of the construction of the Zembe Dam in Macate District, Manica Province, Mozambique.
What you'll do
- Oversee and approve the implementation of the project
- Confirm and approve foundation excavations
- Inspect and approve the pouring of concrete for foundations and walls
- Inspect and approve the reinforcement of footings, columns, beams, slabs, and other reinforced concrete structures
- Verify and approve the completion of the work, including the final cleaning
- Prepare for and participate in the provisional and final handover of the works
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or equivalent recognized field
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, of which at least 5 years must be in the coordination or supervision of civil construction projects
- Proven experience in the supervisor or coordination of hydraulic works, preferably dams, weirs, dikes, reservoirs or similar infrastructure
- Technical degree in Civil Construction (Roads or Buildings)/Hydraulics or equivalent area
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in inspecting or monitoring civil construction projects
- Practical experience in hydraulic works, earthworks, concrete structures, drainage works and quality control of materials
