The role
The Pennsylvania Mountain Service Corps (PMSC) AmeriCorps Member will serve the Indiana County Conservation District and Evergreen Conservancy by implementing watershed restoration, monitoring, and community outreach. The role balances field-based environmental work with a strong emphasis on digital communications, including managing social media, producing a monthly podcast, and developing newsletters. The member will also coordinate the Indiana County Teaching and Community Garden and manage the Plastic Film Recycling Program. What you'll do
- Assist with watershed restoration, streambank stabilization, and abandoned mine drainage treatment.
- Perform water quality sampling, monitoring, and data collection.

- Coordinate the Indiana County Teaching and Community Garden and high tunnel operations.
- Manage the Evergreen Conservancy Plastic Film Recycling Program and engage volunteers.
What it takes
