The role
Oxfam International is seeking a seasoned safeguarding advisor to lead the implementation of safeguarding strategies and programs across Sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring the protection of communities, staff, and partners from exploitation, abuse, and sexual harassment, as well as child abuse.
What you'll do
- Lead the implementation of safeguarding strategies and programs

- Proven experience in preventing and responding to exploitation, abuse, and sexual harassment
- Experience in technical advisory, capacity building, and team/partner support
- Expertise in case management, survivor-centered approaches, and complex, sensitive situations
- Knowledge of community-based feedback and complaint mechanisms, confidentiality, and ethical information management
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Alignment with Oxfam values, feminist principles, and survivor-centered approaches
