The role
The Compliance Officer will support risk management, ensure compliance with internal and external obligations, and contribute to the development of the compliance function within Humanity & Inclusion's Unlocking Opportunities project in Nairobi, Kenya.
What you'll do
- Support risk management by contributing to the development and updating of the program's risk map/s.
- Ensure compliance with HI internal rules and standards, national regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to the development and facilitation of internal control and compliance systems.
- Verify the correct application of internal rules and compliance with legal/regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Participate in the fight against fraud and contribute to internal administrative investigations.
What it takes
- University degree in finance, accounting, law, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of practical experience as a Compliance Officer, Auditor, or similar role.
- Professional certification in compliance, risk management, or auditing is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Kenyan national regulations and legal frameworks.
- Investigation and due diligence skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
