The role

The Community Engagement Worker will communicate directly with the target population in designated intervention zones to address their concerns, questions, and comments, ensuring accurate, timely, and confidential communication.

What you'll do

  • Be present with all necessary documentation, including IEC materials, service maps, and communication bidirectional data collection forms
  • Engage target groups in conversations, respond to received questions and comments with the help of an expert team and frontline communication guidelines
  • Provide structured and responsive information to communities about available services and assistance, and facilitate their access to these services
  • Collaborate with the RCCE team to develop detailed and well-documented responses to client questions
  • Follow clear frontline communication guidelines to ensure safe and effective communication and escalate urgent protection needs
  • Stay informed of all new information disseminated and participate in required training sessions

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in implementing humanitarian protection and/or health programs
  • Excellent communication, community engagement, and mobilization skills
  • Experience in inclusive communication approaches and providing reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to apply fundamental principles of non-discrimination, person-centered approach, do no harm, safety, and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of different communication channels
